I have pretty thick hair and one avocado did not go a long way. So I basically ended up with chunks (ew, I hate that word! why did I use it? Ha, oh well) of avocado randomly dispersed around my head. I kept it in for about 20 min, and then rinsed it out with this new Aloe vera shampoo I got on one of my little local business supporting walks. [...]

Does it still count as a local family business if the family owns like five locations around the county? I went to Surf Brothers last night (can't remember if you were here the times we got food from there? Teriyaki skewers...?) and found out it's owned by two cute brothers and their dad. haha....

Yasmin, let me know if you like the book! It is really cute, and a true story! That's awesome you are supporting great local businesses too. Have a great day yourself!

Sarah, I know - it was cute, the guy was like, "do you want olive oil in it?" I'm like, "do I?" and he's like, "yeah, you want a little." Hehe! It's nice talking to people who actually made the food!

Thank you re: the half marathons! Congrats to you, on your long run, too! I seriously couldn't even run 3-4 miles at the start of last year, so if I can do it, anyone can! One was on my birthday - probably the only time I'll ever get up at 4am on my birthday by choice. :)

It's so sad to see such great small businesses and restaurants suffer. There is this wonderful Indo-european store that I go to for fresh pita bread and feta cheese. Thanks for the book suggestions, both sound really good so hopefully I can find them at the library! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
